"The cover was purchased to replace one that was quite expensive but 7 years old and suffering from UV degradation. The new one is cheaper and slightly too large. The actual material is waterproof but very thin so no padding and in high winds, I suspect may tear. However although the old cover is suffering with uv degradation and the material is brittle, it provides padding that fits nicely under the new cover. Combined, they seem to be fine. This was the only cover I could find for a table top gas patio heater so can't complain."
